It’s that time of night…Saturday Night into Sunday Morning: I have been praying and reading and writing and praying some more. My heart is troubled by some of the things that I am reading on social media and what we are seeing in the “news” media. All I can say is that our country and the wonderful people in it, need to take a step back and realize that we are moving in a downward direction. I spoke of this briefly early Saturday morning. It has been weighing on my heart all day. EVERY LIFE MATTERS. Why is that so difficult to understand? We are a nation that is divided on many levels and this is exactly what satan wants. If we stay divided we will fall. We are falling right now but there is a chance to do something about it.
The consistency in my talk track is Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus Christ. He is our only hope in a world that has no hope. The prophets spoke of His coming in the Old Testament. The apostles got to see and experience Him first hand in the New Testament. God has given us His uncompromised inspired word. “Although we have not seen Him we love Him, and even though we don’t see Him now we believe in Him.” 1 Peter 1:8. (Zohn paraphrase).
Some how I wish all of you could see what I see. The word of God, The Bible is REAL!! It is cleansing, it is life giving, it is transforming. It is alive!!!
I am beginning a series Sunday at 10:45 titled, “Our Hope.” It is my prayer that you will come and join us at Sawdust Road.
We are a church that welcomes everyone. Come as you are. It is the Lord Jesus that will bring change to you. I can promise that you will not get a watered down version of Gods’ truth. You might not always like what you hear but it will be the truth from God’s word. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past and it doesn’t matter what you are doing now. If you are in darkness, Jesus will bring you into the light. He loves all of us. Each one of our lives matters to Him. All He asks is that you hear His voice and call upon His name. You will be washed clean for all eternity. He will take you from an eternity separated from Him to an eternity that is gloriously prepared especially for you with Him.
Invite someone to go to church with you if you don’t want to come alone, but come and hear the truth, because the truth will set you free.
